Responsibilities
- Provides program support throughout the development life cycle, from concept development, requirements definition, functional analysis, design review support, system implementation, integration, verification, and validation.
- Works within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), where effective communication and team building skills are critical to success.
- Embraces modern development processes and techniques that improve product quality & team productivity.
- Supports the development, integration and test of military avionics systems or similarly complex systems.
- Manages requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification.
- Develops and executes test plans and procedures, creates trade studies, and analyzes technical data.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high-quality work products are delivered on time.
- Manages suppliers and oversees the development of subsystems and components.
- Manages project costs, schedules, risks, and opportunities.
- Manages performance requirements such as reliability, testability, maintainability, producibility, and system/software safety.
- Works with government customers including the US Army, US Navy, USMC, and/or USAF.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Minimum 8 years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering.
- Experience providing leadership, technical direction, and guidance to multi-discipline teams.
- Ability to take ownership of the engineering scope within the program and drive the necessary tasks to ensure the cross-function team meets the technical requirements.
- Experience leading the development, integration and test of military avionics systems or similarly complex systems.
- Experience leading requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification.
- Experience with development, integration, and test of complex systems onto air, sea, and/or ground platforms.
- Experience with test execution including test plan and procedure development.
- Experience creating Trade Studies and analyzing technical data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong accountability with the ability to work autonomously to deliver high quality work products on-schedule.
- In-depth understanding of the System Engineering Lifecycle and processes.
- Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Desired Skills
- Project management experience including cost, schedule, supplier management, risk, and opportunity assessment.
- Knowledge and experience working with digital data standards such as: MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, Universal Armament Interface (UAI), Radio Frequency (RF) communication, and ENET protocols.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods, tools, and languages.
- Experience working with government customers including the US Army, US Navy, USMC, and/or USAF.
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline.
