Sr Systems Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Developer to support our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and architecture, delivering moderately complex application solutions for retail, manufacturing, or distribution industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop application-specific software in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), D365 Mobile, and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Develop and maintain Microsoft Azure integrations.
• Provide ongoing technical guidance and functional support for development and troubleshooting of systems issues.
• Monitor system operations to detect potential problems and engage in debugging.
• Design and build reporting solutions.
• Develop functional and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with software developers on technical tasks and participate in code reviews to ensure compatibility of system components.
• Participate in Agile processes and reviews to monitor system operation and detect potential problems.
• Research and evaluate current and emerging technologies and vendor solutions; assess applicability (ROI and impact) and share knowledge with the team.
• Communicate with staff to understand project roadmaps, system requirements, and priorities, and deliver solutions.
• Identify system data components, gaps, and opportunities to leverage technologies for process improvement and user needs.
• Evaluate system functional design and requirements to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to mitigate technical risks and obstacles.
• Collaborate with Foundational Technology teams to ensure timely, high-quality solutions.
• Assist and independently support system test planning, test case development, and testing.
• Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations.
• Create technical documentation and training for system enhancements and test scenarios.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in Information Systems or a related area.
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) application development for retail, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and X++ programming language.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
