About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. This role is part of the AIS Power & Cooling team, focusing on New Production Introduction (NPI) and sourcing management for Data Center Power & Cooling Equipment. You will manage the global NPI Program for categories within the Power and Cooling space, ensuring equipment and suppliers meet AWS’s technical and commercial specifications.

This position is located in Austin, TX, or Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Finance, Sourcing/Supply-chain, Legal, and Technical Program Management teams to qualify new products or new designs of existing equipment.
  • Drive product from NPI to global scale while mitigating potential supply risks and cost uplifts.
  • Develop Scope of Work (SOW) for new initiatives and clearly define milestones.
  • Develop, implement, and manage supply chain scaling strategies on a global scale.
  • Drive the strategic aspects of large, complex cross-functional projects.
  • Drive innovation through the supply chain and influence industry practices.
  • Develop analytical reports to deliver information to business partners and stakeholders that support improved decision-making.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for customers, technologies, and markets.
  • Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals.
  • Identify and drive realization of opportunities for sustainable, scalable, relative advantage in your category.
  • Requires travel up to 15% of the year.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of program, project, or product management, or leading product implementation experience.
  • 6+ years of related industry experience.
  • 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies.
  • Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction.
  • Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain, and Tier 1 OEM partners.
  • Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent).

Pay

Base salary range: $147,900.00 - $200,100.00 USD annually (for locations in Austin, TX, or Seattle, WA). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
