About the role
L3Harris is seeking a Senior Supervisor to lead the Service Center operations team at Wescam USA. The position is located in Loveland, Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the service center department, responsible for repairing, testing, and maintaining Wescam MX-Series sensor systems.
- Lead a team of 5-6 technicians in Loveland, CO, performing complex technical repairs of MX-Series equipment and peripherals.
- Plan and establish operational objectives for the team, ensuring adherence to customer deadlines and meeting high standards of service and support.
- Supervise and review the work of direct reports, ensuring workflow and productivity are maintained and weekly objectives are met.
- Communicate with internal and external parties to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures.
- Work independently and make decisions that affect the performance and availability of mission-critical systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent military experience and leadership skills.
- 4 years of experience as Supervisor or Lead Field Technician (FSR) for an aerospace or defense contractor specializing in high-performance electro-mechanical products.
- 4 years of experience with electronic and mechanical test equipment.
- 4 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing problems related to product aircraft integration, electronics, and mechanical systems.
- 2 years of hands-on experience with Wescam MX-Series products.
- Normal work shift is 9/80 schedule, with occasional off-hour or weekend tasks as needed.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Supervisor or Lead Field Technician (FSR) experience with high-performance electro-mechanical products.
- Experience with electronic and mechanical test equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing problems related to product aircraft integration, electronics, and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with Wescam MX-Series products.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, specialized software test programs, and effective communication skills.
- Strong project management skills and experience leading teams.
- Understanding of Aerospace/Military maintenance planning concepts.
- Knowledge of ITAR and FAR.
- Familiarity with government contracting.
- Experience communicating with technical and non-technical customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
