About the role
We're seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a collaborative and growing structural engineering team delivering a diverse portfolio of building projects across various sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structural analysis and design of a wide range of building projects, including commercial, industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, distribution, institutional, and renovation projects.
- Design structural systems utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, and other construction materials for low- to mid-rise structures and specialized facilities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Participate in client, architect, and contractor meetings throughout project development and construction.
- Oversee preparation of calculations, construction documents, technical reports, and engineering deliverables.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, perform site visits, and support construction administration activities.
- Cook up with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals, schedules, and quality standards are achieved.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering work and maintain a high standard of technical excellence.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers while fostering professional growth and development within the team.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong communication and client service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license is a plus.
- 8+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
- Experience designing commercial, industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, distribution, institutional, or renovation projects.
- Proven project management experience and the ability to successfully lead projects from concept through construction.
- Strong understanding of structural systems and design practices involving steel, concrete, and masonry.
- Experience performing structural analysis and developing construction documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work effectively in both team-oriented and independent environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Experience mentoring or supervising engineering staff.
- Client management and business development exposure.
- Working knowledge of Revit and BIM-based project delivery.
- Experience with common structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting construction administration and field activities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00/yr.
