About the role

The Arcadis Structural Team is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in municipal, wastewater, and industrial water projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and conduct structural-related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work
  • Develop calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents
  • Work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office/project staff, client and subcontractors
  • Exercise judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
  • Manage the production of engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates for projects
  • Function as an Engineer of Record, Task Manager, or Project Engineer on projects to manage related budgets and schedules, lead deliverables, and manage plans, permit checklists, and scopes of work
  • Facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects
  • Mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervision of elements related to large, complex municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Deep working history of leading and mentoring internal teams, with a strong ability to develop effective positive relationships with external stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Functional knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/REVIT software
  • Strong structural analysis and design skills (including structural software such as Staad Pro, Risa, etc.)
  • Excellent working knowledge of all building codes and standards, such as IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000, with actual salaries varying based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
