Sr Structural Engineer PE - Municipal/Industrial Water/ Waste Water
About the role
The Arcadis Structural Team is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in municipal, wastewater, and industrial water projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration with various engineering disciplines and clients.
Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct structural-related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work with a defined scope.
- Lead the development of calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents.
- Work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear and concise communication and coordination.
- Function as an Engineer of Record, Task Manager, or Project Engineer, managing budgets, schedules, deliverables, and coordinating plans, permit checklists, and scopes of work.
- Mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff.
- Travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning, or overseeing construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervision of elements related to large, complex municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Deep working history of leading and mentoring internal teams, with a strong ability to develop effective positive relationships with external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Functional knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/REVIT software.
- Strong structural analysis and design skills, including proficiency in structural software such as Staad Pro, Risa, etc.
- Excellent working knowledge of all building codes and standards, such as IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000, with actual salaries varying based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
