PurchasingFull-time

About the role

Are you curious about how one of the world's most recognized supply chains keeps millions of products available for customers? As a Senior Strategic Supply Chain Manager on the Home and Kitchen team, you will own inventory strategies for strategic product categories, working directly with well-known brands to maximize product availability and drive profitable growth. You will use data analysis, SQL, Excel, and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools to turn large data sets into actionable insights that directly impact the P&L. This is an opportunity to build deep expertise in supply chain management and ecommerce while collaborating with Product, Vendor, and Customer Success teams. You will define and execute supply chain roadmaps, work closely with vendors, and lead process improvements that shape how customers experience Home and Kitchen at Amazon.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory strategies that balance stock levels, accommodate demand fluctuations, and improve order fulfillment across your assigned categories
  • Analyze large data sets using SQL, Excel, and GenAI tools to identify trends, diagnose root causes, and present recommendations to leadership through business reviews and strategic narratives
  • Collaborate with vendors, including monitoring performance, and driving process improvements that increase confirmation rates and reduce inbound lead times
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Vendor, and Customer Service teams to clear blockers, align priorities, and deliver simplified solutions that improve product availability and cost structure
  • Identify and mitigate long-term supply chain risks, making trade-offs between short-term and long-term needs to protect the customer experience
  • Operate with a high degree of independence, proactively managing your categories rather than reacting to issues
  • Review inventory health metrics on internal dashboards and join recurring business reviews to share insights and align on priorities with cross‑functional partners
  • Run SQL analyses to uncover supply chain bottlenecks and discuss forecasting and replenishment with top brands
  • Balance heads‑down analytical work with collaborative sessions; your recommendations will have a direct impact on the P&L

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience working with complex data sets
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL
  • Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
