The Sr Strategic Account Executive applies broad and deep expertise in financial services and enterprise SaaS sales to drive highly complex, high-impact new logo acquisition across priority banking and credit union segments. This role operates with significant autonomy, leading large, strategic opportunities that require conceptual thinking, evaluation of intangible factors, and alignment to long-term business objectives. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert, the Sr Strategic Account Executive shapes segment strategy, influences company objectives, and drives revenue outcomes that materially impact the overall function. This role regularly engages executive leadership internally and externally to guide approach, messaging, and competitive positioning. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead and close highly strategic, enterprise-level new logo opportunities that significantly impact functional revenue objectivesDesign and execute multi-year account and territory strategies aligned to broader company growth prioritiesEngage C-suite and board-level stakeholders in strategic dialogue focused on long-term transformation and measurable business outcomesNavigate highly complex sales cycles involving regulatory, technical, operational, and financial evaluation criteriaDevelop innovative deal structures and commercial frameworks that address complex client requirements while protecting company interestsCreate formal engagement networks across internal departments to coordinate executive alignment, solution strategy, and competitive responseExercise independent judgment in evaluating ambiguous or unprecedented deal scenarios with material revenue implicationsInfluence segment-level go-to-market strategy by contributing insights on market trends, competitive dynamics, and client buying behaviorPartner with senior leadership to refine messaging and value propositions for enterprise financial institutionsDrive forecast accuracy and pipeline strategy with accountability for outcomes that may impact the broader sales organizationRepresent the company as a senior sales leader at executive forums, industry associations, and strategic client engagementsMentor and inform other sales professionals on complex deal strategy, executive engagement, and negotiation tacticsIdentify and pursue expansion pathways within large prospective institutions to maximize long-term account valueCollaborate with Product and executive stakeholders to guide development of new ideas, offerings, or positioning based on enterprise market needsConsistently achieve or exceed quota targets tied to the organization’s most strategic and high-value opportunities Recommended Experience & Education Minimum Years Of Experience 10–15 years of experience selling complex, enterprise SaaS or fintech solutions to banks, credit unions, or large financial institutions, with a sustained record of closing multi-million-dollar, multi-stakeholder strategic deals. Education Level Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience Required Demonstrated expertise closing large, enterprise-level financial institution dealsProven ability to influence executive and board-level stakeholdersAdvanced strategic account planning and territory design skillsAbility to evaluate and structure complex commercial agreements independentlyAbility to perform platform demonstrations as neededDeep understanding of banking industry trends, regulatory environments, and competitive landscapeTrack record of exceeding quota in highly complex sales environmentsStrong executive communication, negotiation, and persuasion skillsHigh proficiency in CRM analytics and revenue forecasting methodologiesAbility to travel as needed to support territory development Preferred Experience selling digital banking platforms, core systems, payments, deposit platforms or related fintech solutionsExperience contributing to company-level go-to-market or segment strategy discussionsEstablished executive network within large banks or credit unionsExperience guiding or mentoring senior sales professionals on complex opportunitiesFamiliarity with enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDICC and ChallengerExperience partnering with Product leadership to influence roadmap priorities The salary range for this position is: $140,000 - $175,000 + Commissions Cool Things to Know Not Just Any Company: Alkami has an awesome diverse and inclusive environment.
