Sr. Storage Administrator

About the role

CGI Federal is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to support a program for the Army's PL ALTESS contract. This role is located in Radford, VA.

Responsibilities

• Work with the existing OS and Storage teams to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support servers and storage systems for ALTESS and its customers.
• Aid in implementing new system HW and SW and contribute to developing local operating procedures and policies.
• Maintain the ongoing operation of the systems, providing utilization reports and identifying problems and corrective actions.
• Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies in the current environment.

Requirements

• CompTIA Security+ certification (can be waived for 30 days after project join date).
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience in Computer Science or IT.
• Three or more years' experience in design, installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems.
• Three or more years' experience maintaining storage and network policies and standards.
• Three or more years' experience refreshing data from one environment to another at the request of the application development staff.
• Three or more years' experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution.
• Three or more years' experience with MS-Windows, Solaris, and RHEL/OEL Linux environments.
• Three or more years' experience administering applicable storage networks.
• Three or more years' experience with VMWare 7.x or greater.
• Three or more years' experience with network communication (IP based).
• Installation and configuration experience of backup SW with Windows Server 2019, Solaris 11, RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 and higher.
• Experience with both Windows Powershell and Bash shell scripting.
• Strong CLI skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience.
• Three or more years' experience supporting Cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA-V, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA).

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 - $198,400.00.
