Sr Statistician - Site Location Analyst

Responsibilities

• Serves as an advanced-level customer analytics leader with a focus on gravity model sales forecasting.
• Supports H-E-B’s real estate program and new store pipeline.
• Works on sales forecasting for new stores, expansions, remodels, and competitive impacts.
• Develops and independently delivers analytical solutions that meet business needs.
• Mentors and develops less experienced analysts.

Requirements

• A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in an advanced analytics role.
• 3+ years of experience using statistical software (e.g., SitesPlus, Locus, SAS, SPSS, R, spatial models).
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and advanced analytics techniques (e.g., logistic / linear regression modeling, clustering, sampling, decision trees).
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., MicroStrategy).
• Experience with Alteryx or similar software is preferred.
• Advanced computer skills, including MS Office.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Personal leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Travel by car or plane with overnight stays.
