About the role

The Senior Staff Designer role at Adobe Design is for someone who can simplify complex user needs, influence through collaboration, and lead cross-functional teams to build essential storage and administrative workflows. This role requires experience with complex disparate experiences and the ability to balance speed and rigor.

Responsibilities

  • Simplify complex user needs into practical design solutions grounded in user research and data.
  • Influence through collaboration and workshops with engineering, product, and design leadership.
  • Stay curious and informed in the evolving landscape of AI and new technologies.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to mentor and receive feedback.
  • Think in systems, connecting patterns across touchpoints and technologies to build cohesive end-to-end experiences.
  • Bring fresh perspectives by crafting delightful experiences for admins, teams, and enterprises.
  • Lead by inspiring teammates and forging relationships across the company.

Requirements

  • Experience working with complex disparate experiences and crafting a unified experience that meets customer and business objectives.
  • Able to balance speed and rigor, pivot directions, and seek solutions in creative ways.
  • Dives into the details to drive tough decisions forward.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and visual storytelling) to influence and align teams, and confidence in presenting and articulating design strategies to partners at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Able to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and keep multiple initiatives moving forward.
  • Exceptional visual, interaction, and prototyping design skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with Cursor.ai or other AI-powered design, prototyping, and collaboration tools.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities, understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, and accessibility certifications such as CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP.

Skills

Systems-thinking, curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset are key. Proficiency in visual, interaction, and prototyping design is essential, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Adobe offers a competitive compensation package, including a range of $158,000 - $301,050 annually, with additional benefits depending on location. The company also provides comprehensive benefits programs, including a focus on people, purpose, and community.

Pay

The expected pay range for this position is $158,000 -- $301,050 annually, with specific ranges varying by location. For sales roles, total target compensation (TTC = base + commission) and sales commission plans are offered. Non-sales roles start with base salary and Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
