Key Responsibilities
- Complete and review monthly bank, credit card, AP, AR, inventory, and clearing account reconciliations.
- Own the full close cycle including accruals, prepaids, amortization schedules, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and post recurring and ad-hoc journal entries with proper documentation and GAAP compliance.
- Maintain accruals for inventory, freight, samples, vendor deposits, and customer programs.
- Prepare monthly commission reports based on sales activity, gross profit thresholds, and company-defined rules.
- Produce financial, operational, and margin-related reports as requested by leadership.
- Prepare schedules, respond to auditor requests, and ensure timely completion of the annual review for the CPA review.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and customer service to resolve discrepancies and improve data accuracy.
- Strengthen accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-track preferred.
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing, distribution, or promotional products experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and experience with ERP/CRM integrations.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and inventory costing.
- Ability to analyze large data sets and reconcile complex transactions.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with external auditors and cross-functional teams.
