What you’ll do
- Lead planning and execution of vehicle-level and lab-car feature (FIP) and integration readiness activities across SDV development programs.
- Experience with vehicle architecture, networks, integration frameworks to coordinate hardware, software, firmware, calibration, and network configuration readiness for integration vehicles and lab-car platforms.
- Track vehicle build status, ECU availability, software branch alignment, flashing readiness, and feature integration maturity.
- Drive Agile execution across integration and validation teams including sprint planning, backlog management, and dependency tracking.
- Manage vehicle software release schedules, integration branches, and deployment milestones.
- Track engineering changes, software updates, ECU revisions, and feature readiness across vehicle programs.
- Lead issue triage, prioritization, defect tracking, risk mitigation, and release blocker resolution.
- Support bring-up and stabilization of integration vehicles, benches, and lab-car systems for validation activities across prototype, mule, validation, and pre-production vehicle fleets.
- Ensure validation readiness including test hardware availability, software deployment, calibration alignment, and diagnostics configuration.
- Track regression testing, feature validation, release acceptance criteria, and validation coverage metrics.
- Support OTA validation, diagnostics verification, secure flashing readiness, and software deployment validation workflows.
- Develop and maintain integration dashboards, lab-car readiness trackers, release metrics, and validation KPIs.
- Provide executive-level updates on vehicle integration status, software maturity, technical risks, and validation progress.
- Drive data-based escalation management and cross-functional decision-making.
- Support launch readiness reviews, integration war rooms, and technical milestone reporting.
Location & Travel Expectations
- This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
What you’ll bring
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ yrs. of experience.
- Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks, automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet), UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools.
- Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory.ALM/PLM.
- Strong understanding, development and verification of plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for execution in hardware in the loop test environment, dSpace control desk and automation desk.
- Strong understanding of 1st principles in Engineering, result/solution oriented.
- Familiarity with SW for embedded systems, EE systems and architecture.
- Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS communication protocols and Vehicle Network tools, such as CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.
- Expertise with complex problem solving, data analysis, access/interpret/drive results with extended teams.
- Knowledge of Automotive design and development process, system requirements, and general engineering best practices.

- This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
- Initial base salary range = $140,000.00 - $170,000.00
