About the role
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Specialist, Structures Engineer to support the RS-25 rocket engine program. In this role, you will perform RS-25 component structural analysis in support of flight, test, and fabrication at our Propulsion Systems facility in Canoga Park, CA.
Responsibilities
- Provide structural design guidance, scope analysis efforts, and perform detailed structural analyses for RS-25 component NCRs.
- Assess the product’s ability to satisfy internal structural requirements as well as those flowed by the customer.
- Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews.
- Prepare detailed technical reports documenting all analysis activities, present results at program reviews, and prepare technical documentation.
- Apply technical expertise to directly contribute to the performance of the team relative to dispositioning NCRs.
- Complete assigned responsibilities in a manner that significantly impacts programs, improving overall performance and capabilities.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a US LEVEL security clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Structures, or Aerospace Engineering or related field and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree in Mechanical, Structures, or Aerospace Engineering or related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Skills
- High proficiency in utilization of ANSYS Finite Element Analysis software.
Pay
The salary range for this role in California is $102,000 - $189,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.

Schedule
9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.
