Sr. Specialist - Global Molding Procurement

About the role

The Sr. Specialist in Global Molding Procurement plays a pivotal role in procurement leadership, strategic planning, and supplier management within 3M. This position offers an opportunity to transition from various professional backgrounds to a 3M career, leveraging expertise in sourcing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Procurement Category Leadership: Provide category ownership across 3M businesses and divisions, serve as a strategic procurement leader for outsourced molding, drive procurement policies and best practices, and manage complex supplier relationships.
• Strategy Execution & Process Improvement: Identify and lead solutions for complex situations involving dual-sourcing, negotiation, category strategy, supplier management, and external sources of supply, and implement process improvements.
• Contract Ownership: Lead contract negotiations with strategic supply partners, implement agreements covering complex supply relationships, and engage with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (verified prior to start)
• At least 10 years of combined experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, and/or Manufacturing in a private, public, government, or military environment

Qualifications

• Experience in Procurement, especially with Molding suppliers, including contract manufacturers and co-packers
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
• Initiative, self-starter with a positive and proactive approach; project management experience
• Experience successfully collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on complex projects
• Financial acumen and comfort with conducting business analytics

This role offers a competitive salary range of $145,676 - $178,049, inclusive of base pay and variable incentive pay. Work Location
