About the role
The Sr. Procurement Specialist – Global Brands role at Deckers Brands is pivotal. You will manage and own global/North America retail operations projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize costs, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and own global/North America retail operations projects, planning, executing, and reporting competitive bidding to generate value in cost, quality, and service
- Collaborate with Global Procurement leadership to implement standardized processes and align strategies with key stakeholders
- Gather and translate business requirements into clear, comprehensive RFP documents
- Identify potential suppliers and conduct vendor comparison research
- Cover all aspects of the competitive bidding process, including communication, timeline management, cost comparisons, and contract reviews
- Perform complex data analysis, compile recommendations, and drive alignment around best value options
- Lead or assist negotiations with vendors to optimize benefits and maximize value
- Support or lead contract review processes with internal and external partners
- Stay informed on supply and industry trends to ensure Deckers achieves the best value
- Manage reporting projects to identify cost optimization opportunities and track value achieved
- Optimize contract management processes to support procurement strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan for future initiatives and achieve business goals
- Manage procurement project workflow tools
Requirements
- 5+ years of procurement project management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong understanding of Procure to Pay processes
- Experience working in complex global organizations and managing diverse stakeholder needs
- High level of integrity, dependability, and ability to operate with minimal oversight
- Motivated self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively
- Skilled at multi-tasking and managing a large volume of relationships and projects
- Strong interpersonal, influence, and decision-making skills
- Expertise in negotiation, analytical, problem solving, organization, and project management
- Experience in contract management, including creation, audit, and review
- Experience leading procurement projects and translating business needs into actionable requirements
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive recommendations
- Experience in eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Marketing, Public Relations, Events, Travel, and Retail preferred
