Responsibilities
- Manage a complex portfolio of DoD-related contracts.
- Provide business, contractual, and risk mitigation strategic guidance for DoD-related Commercial and CAS covered contracts from contract inception to contract close-out.
- Support large program efforts, regularly contribute in business strategy formation and tactical implementations at all levels.
- Participate in the proposal development process by identifying areas of risk, and promoting innovative solutions to internal and external customers.
- Work in partnership with legal counsel to provide recommendations from a Contracts perspective on legal activities, intellectual property interests, disputes, claims, protests, and lawsuits.
- Analyze new laws, regulations and contract trends for potential impact on business goals and objectives.
- Continue to advance commercial pricing strategies and support commercial item procurement justifications where applicable.
- Understand and ensure compliance with US Government acquisition regulations, cost and price estimating concepts, Intellectual Property and an in-depth working knowledge of FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 acquisition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in Contract Management and US Government Federal Acquisition Regulation. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- In depth knowledge of contract lifecycle management: RFP review, proposal preparation, negotiation, and administration.
- Familiarity with U.S. Government contracting.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and computer skills.
- Creative and strategic mindset.
Pay
The salary range for this role in New York state is $79,500 - $147,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
