Sr Specialist, CAD Design (Aerospace Design) : Sign-on bonus ($20K max)

Job Description
As part of the Hardware CAD organization, you will work with programs at all phases of the product lifecycle to develop and document designs from conceptual representation through final documentation. As a designer you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the product data through PLM and CAD tools within the appropriate processes and controls, and will be responsible for enacting changes with direction from program and other engineering functions. This role is expected to become a subject matter expert of process and must be able to manage large, complex project models of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communication will be within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. You will make significant improvements in processes, systems, or products and provide input into new products/processes that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain solid models aligned with L3Harris processes
- Develop documentation (drawings, etc.) as part of a product's data
- Implement changes to a product's data based on guidance from the program team
- Aid program teams in major milestones (reviews)
- Aid programs in task development as appropriate
- Aid the development of proposals
- Manage large and complex CAD models and their corresponding data
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a design, technology, or CAD specialization and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience using PTC CREO
- Professional experience using Oracle Agile PLM or PTC Windchill
- Professional experience using GD&T
- Professional experience working within Aerospace design environments
Preferred Additional Skills
- Active U.S. Security Clearance highly preferred
- Professional experience using configuration management and product data management processes
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes both additive and subtractive
- Experience managing large product configurations and their corresponding data
- Knowledge of project management preferred
- Familiarity with MRP, MRPII, and/or ERP systems and processes

Pay
The salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C., Denver, or NYC areas is $91,500 – $170,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
