Sr. Solutions Engineer, Retail - CPG

The Role

We are seeking experienced pre-sales professionals with a proven track record in helping large enterprises become more data-driven. This position involves working closely with the Account Executive (AE) to define and direct the technical strategy for our largest and most important accounts.

Responsibilities

• Work with 1-5 clients as the main technical voice for Databricks
• Lead customers through a transformational journey, helping them evaluate and adopt Databricks as part of their strategy
• Implement the technical strategy in the account, aligning with the overall strategy
• Build a movement of technical champions within the account
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions
• Provide structured mentorship for other team members

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with large (> $1m ARR) enterprises in the Retail and CPG space
• 3+ years of experience in pre-sales or supporting sales activities
• Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies
• Experience in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data
• 3+ years of experience with design and implementation of big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP or full lifecycle data science solutions
• Experience maintaining and extending production data systems to meet evolving customer needs
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification
