Sr. Solutions Engineer

About the role

We are looking for pre-sales professionals with a successful track record helping large enterprises become more data-driven. This role involves defining and directing the technical strategy for our largest and most important accounts, leading to more widespread use of our products and wider and deeper adoption of ML & AI.

Responsibilities

• Work with multiple clients as the main technical voice for Databricks.
• Guide customers through a transformational journey, helping them evaluate and adopt Databricks as part of their strategy.
• Implement the technical strategy in the account, closely aligned with the overall strategy.
• Build a movement of technical champions within the account.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions.
• Collaborate with the sales team and technical peers to drive business outcomes for our clients.

Requirements

• Proficiency in establishing virtual teams and leading them to success within the account.
• Experience working with large (> $1m ARR) global accounts.
• Ability to form relationships with executives and influencers.
• Presentation of a convincing point-of-view to important decision-makers that leads them towards success.
• Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data.
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java.
• Nice to have: Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or GCP certification.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead and influence key stakeholders.
• Technical proficiency in data science and machine learning.
• Experience with cloud platforms and data integration tools.

Pay

The pay range for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors including job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
