Sr. Solutions Architect, SMB

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate customer adoption. As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you will work directly with customers, helping them gain a competitive edge using AWS. You will influence customers' architectural choices across broad use cases involving security, compute, storage, networking, as well as advanced scenarios involving serverless, analytics, and AI/ML. You will provide exceptional technical design guidance, lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge, and collaborate with some of the brightest technical minds in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Work cross-organizationally to facilitate widespread use and adoption of the AWS platform.
• Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
• Represent AWS within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.
• Think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Requirements

• 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 6+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.

Pay

USA, VA, Arlington - $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
