Sr. Solutions Architect, Retail - CPG
About the role
Do you like helping large enterprise customers solve technical problems? Would you like to do this using the latest cloud computing technologies? Do you have a knack for helping an organization understand application architectures and integration approaches, and the consultative and leadership skills to help guide a project to success? Do you want to be part of the business development team helping to move a large enterprise onto Amazon Web Services as their technology platform?
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the Business Development and Sales team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform.
- Scope each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.
- Own each engagement, and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solution architect community.
- Understand and exploit the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess customer facing skills that will allow them to represent AWS well within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Skills
Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
Experience working with end user or developer communities
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

Pay
Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
Schedule
Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
