In your role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s utility computing web services (Amazon EC2 compute, Amazon S3 storage, Amazon Simple DB/RDS databases, Amazon CloudFront CDN, etc.) within large strategic accounts.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
- Work cross-organizationally to facilitate widespread use and adoption of the AWS platform
- Develop a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
- Serve as a key member of the Business Development and Sales team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform
- Scope each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria
- Own each engagement, and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solution architect community
- Understand and exploit the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems

Basic qualifications
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Preferred qualifications
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
