The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team partners with customers to design and build some of the most scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. AWS Solutions Architects collaborate with AWS Sales and other AWS teams to help address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

Your role as a Solutions Architect helps organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and provide advice on strategies for migrating existing workloads to the cloud. You’ll help drive successful business outcomes across a broad set of enterprise customers through your passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions. As a trusted customer advocate, you are responsible for guiding organizations in adopting advanced cloud-based solutions and migrating their workloads to the cloud. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to build mindshare and increase adoption of AWS. You should be able to interact and communicate effectively with various teams at AWS, including services, marketing, and professional services, while also representing your own team to executive management.

Responsibilities

• Help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and provide advice on strategies for migrating existing workloads to the cloud.
• Drive successful business outcomes for enterprise customers through educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions.
• Develop and implement a strategy to build mindshare and increase adoption of AWS.
• Interact and communicate effectively with various teams at AWS, including services, marketing, and professional services, while representing your team to executive management.
• Act as a trusted customer advocate, guiding organizations in adopting advanced cloud-based solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience working with end user or developer communities.

Pay

• USA, IL, Chicago: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
• USA, MA, Boston: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
• USA, MN, Minneapolis: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
• USA, NY, New York: $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Austin: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Herndon: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
