About the role

T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. This position is based in Bellevue, WA and involves driving engineering projects by developing software solutions, conducting tests and inspections, and preparing reports and calculations. Telecommuting is permitted, but the applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3-4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.

Responsibilities

  • Understand system protocols, how systems operate, and data flows.
  • Independently develop a full software stack.
  • Understand the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work.
  • Interact with system engineers to define system requirements and necessary requirements for automation.
  • Contribute to designs to implement new ideas utilizing new frameworks to improve existing or new systems, processes, or services.
  • Review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete workloads through industry perspectives.
  • Understand the creation of company IPR.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and utilize system expertise to deliver technical solutions.
  • Continuously learn and teach others existing and new technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of others through mentoring or in-house workshops and learning sessions.
  • Contribute to new and existing technology options that support business goals.
  • Write basic documentation on how technology works, create clear documentation for new code and systems used.
  • Document systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for consumption and consideration at the manager level.

Requirements

Primary Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

Alternative Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.

Skills

Requires experience in each of the following:

  • Developing scalable APIs and microservices using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Docker, and deploying solutions on AWS Cloud.
  • Developing responsive UIs with AngularJS, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, AJAX, and mobile apps using SwiftUI and Storyboard.
  • WebSphere commerce migration, WebSphere application server upgrade, Java and Linux upgrades, Angular/Node upgrade, Oracle database upgrade, DB table partitioning, SQL query tuning, caching, and performance tuning.
  • SQL, stored procedures, and managing large databases using MongoDB, Oracle, and frameworks like WebSphere Commerce, Struts, and Spring.
  • Migrating Java, Linux, and IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments to the latest versions for production web applications.
  • Jira, GitLab, Azure, Postman, Redis, Xcode, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Cocoapods, APIGEE, TAG, SOAP, REST, ServiceNow, and Splunk.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pay

Salary: $212,202 to $217,202 per year. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance, set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
