Sr. Software Engineer, Internal Apps

About the role

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Internal Apps team. This role will be remote and reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions for internal applications using modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and mentoring junior engineers to ensure best practices are followed.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software development and apply them to improve our internal apps.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with at least one major programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, GitLab).
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Good understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular).
• Experience with server-side technologies (e.g., Node.js, Express).
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
