Sr. Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain software components and services across the full development lifecycle, from initial design through production support.
• Guide engineering decisions by promoting sound coding practices, scalable design patterns, and maintainable application structure.
• Partner with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business goals into effective technical solutions.
• Provide mentorship to other engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and day-to-day development support.
• Strengthen system performance, resilience, and uptime by identifying issues proactively and implementing sustainable improvements.
• Build and evolve APIs, backend services, and user-facing features using modern web technologies and service-oriented approaches.
• Contribute to technical planning and roadmap discussions, helping prioritize work that improves platform capability and long-term stability.
• Implement secure and reliable solutions that support distributed systems, cloud-based environments, and event-driven integrations.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of software engineering experience, including work on complex production applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with backend development using Node.js or Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency with frontend development using React.js and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs in service-based architectures.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms such as AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to design secure, scalable systems and improve application performance and reliability.
• Proven success leading technical initiatives, mentoring developers, and working effectively within collaborative Agile teams.
