Sr Software Developer - JAVA

About the role

SitusAMC is seeking a seasoned software developer to lead the design, development, and testing of new features and functionality for our core product. This role will work closely with business analysts and support analysts, supervise and mentor direct reports, and be responsible for creating clean, reliable, and performant code.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with business analysts to design, develop and test new features and functionality for our core product
• Work closely with support analysts to identify and fix bugs
• Create prototypes and proof of concepts to explore new technologies and determine how to best integrate them into the product
• Supervise and mentor direct reports
• Work independently and come up with solutions to unique problems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in software development preferred
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and relational database concepts
• Expert proficiency with SQL and strong grasp of database concepts
• Significant experience with JAVA and frontend frameworks (JavaScript)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Service Oriented Architectures
• Experience working with object relational mappings
• Experience with Agile development practices
• Ability to manage direct reports

Qualifications

Benefits

The annual full time base salary range for this role is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data.
