Sr Service Rep

About the role

This employee performs equipment setups—specifically concentrators and durable medical equipment—in a professional, safe, and timely manner. The equipment is placed in apartments, private homes, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, and other care settings.

Responsibilities

• Completes equipment orientation checklists for new equipment and other necessary paperwork for new patient setup.
• Instructs patients in the safe and proper use of equipment.
• Makes oxygen deliveries (cylinder and concentrator) and equipment checks on a daily route as determined by patient base and Lincare routing system.
• Deliveries may include refilling reservoirs with liquid oxygen from a van-mounted tank.
• Performs minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment both in the home and at the center.
• Packages equipment for shipment to the manufacturer or their designee when repairs exceed minor work.
• Responsible for equipment maintenance per the manufacturer’s recommended schedule.
• Maintains company vehicle in clean and orderly manner, including daily inspections and proper paperwork.
• Maintains established preventative maintenance schedule for vehicles.
• Cleans rental equipment when returned to the center, in accordance with Lincare policies and procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area.
• Follows FDA guidelines pertaining to cylinder tracking and oxygen analyzer testing.
• Follows Lincare policies as indicated in the operations manual and training manuals, including those in the Safety & Regulatory manual regarding General Safety, OSHA (proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (adherence to the Vehicle Safety Disciplinary Policy), FDA, and Emergency Planning.
• Works as an on-call service representative evenings and weekends as scheduled; frequency depends on center size and available staff.
• Must respond in a timely manner and record information on Service Call Report.
• May serve as a backup to other employees during vacation, illness, or other absences.
• Acts as group leader for service representatives, overseeing warehouse operations.
• Overtime may be required.
• Directs the work of one or more service representatives, providing routing instructions and daily work assignments.
• Maintains center inventory and submits purchase requisitions to the center manager to order new stock as needed.
