SR SECURITY OFFICER

Location: Wauwatosa, WI (on-site at Froedtert Bluemound Rehab Hospital)

About the Role

Providing security in and around the hospital, facilities, campus, and parking structures. Concentrates on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. Responds immediately to various levels of dispatch calls as a visible deterrent, investigates unusual circumstances, assists with de-escalation, and enforces security protocols. In the absence of other shift leadership, provides oversight and direction for shift operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of security experience (5+ years preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent required (advanced degree preferred or 15+ years of experience in lieu of education)
• Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT (Defense And Arrest Techniques) course within the previous three years or ability to obtain certification within 120 days of hire (includes de-escalation training)
• Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 and ICS-100 courses within six months of hire
• Completion of Field Training Officer (FTO) program within 120 days of hire
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent within 90 days of hire

Skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Push-pull force generation up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Occasional stair climbing and frequent walking
• Ability to move independently from floor to standing position
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills

Schedule

• Full-time (1.0 FTE, 40 standard hours per week)
• Shift 3: 9:45 PM to 6:00 AM
• Expected to work some weekends and holidays based on scheduling rotation
