About the role
This position will lead scrum ceremonies, organize and motivate software development teams to deliver software that provides exceptional business value to users.
Responsibilities
- Team Empowerment, Support, and Improvement
- Perform Scrum Master duties for multiple teams.
- Facilitate team ceremonies and remove roadblocks to the team’s work.
- Lead and coach the team in self-organization using Scrum or Kanban practices to foster ownership and accountability.
- Assist the team in making informed decisions by providing relevant information and facilitating discussions.
- Ensure decisions align with priorities.
- Foster collaboration between functional areas to manage dependencies effectively.
- Help the team adapt to evolving circumstances and stay focused on goals.
- Encourage continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions.
- Tooling and Automation
- Manage Azure DevOps boards to maintain structure and processes.
- Increase team productivity by analyzing data and proposing solutions.
- Perform monthly project updates to track the development roadmap.
- Advocate for automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Resource Management
- Manage resource allocation, ensuring team members have necessary tools, skills, and support.
- Identify and address resource constraints or bottlenecks.
- Report on resource utilization and manage team capacity.
- Project Planning and Coordination
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and timelines.
- Adjust plans and priorities in response to changes in project scope or requirements.
- Coordinate activities among team members and stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between the technical delivery team and other stakeholders for clear communication.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and potential challenges.
- Collaborate with Product Owner, Technical Writers, and the software development team to keep documentation up to date.
- Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation plans with the team.
- Proactively address issues and obstacles impacting product delivery.
- Other activities as assigned by your manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 1+ years in an Associate-level role or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and extensive knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles.
- Prior experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies on enterprise-level application development projects.
- Agile certifications a plus: PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe.
- Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 members (Developers, Business Analysts, QA personnel).
- Experience using Azure DevOps (preferred) or Jira for managing work tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool is a plus.
- Experience working remotely with a conducive household setup.
Pay
The annual full-time base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Certain positions may be eligible for a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines and management approval.
