Our client is seeking an experienced Agile Coach to join their team, focusing on guiding teams within a SAFe Agile framework.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Scrum Master and servant leader for Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and facilitating team events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments blocking team progress and support cross-team coordination within the broader Program Increment (PI) planning.
  • Participate in PI planning events, coordinate dependencies with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders, and align team goals with program objectives.
  • Contribute to the success of the Agile Release Train (ART) by fostering agile values and principles across multiple teams.
  • Coach teams on industry best practices and work with a cohort of Agile Coaches to develop tailored models for groups and support new and existing teams.
  • Ensure team vision, goals, scope, KPIs, and product domains are clearly identified.
  • Train teams and individuals to enable enterprise-wide adoption of business agility frameworks.
  • Educate various roles and levels on Agile principles through training sessions and workshops.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to team members to advance their maturity and skills.
  • Develop and deliver training on Agile-Lean practices.
  • Collaborate with Agile coaches, trainers, and Communities of Practice (CoP) or Centers of Excellence (CoE) to drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide tools and strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Act as a self-starter with a consultant mentality, guiding and coaching teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • SAFe Agile and SAFe Scrum Master experience required.
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is required; SAFe Scrum Master Certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps preferred but not required.
  • Strong business acumen and advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Lean-Agile methodologies, practices, and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
  • Proven experience applying Agile at scale (SAFe or LeSS) and leading cultural and organizational change.
  • Previous experience in Product Ownership or Scrum Master roles.
  • Knowledge and experience in two or more Agile or Lean frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Extreme Programming).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years as an active Agile Coach.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience on an Agile Team.
  • Track record within the Healthcare industry supporting Agile teams.
  • 3 years of experience with Agile Management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 4 additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore optimal solutions.
  • Ability to lead and inspire with imagination, courage, and curiosity.
