The Sr Sales Manager is responsible for the successful leadership, development, and performance of a team of mortgage loan originators in a high-volume call center environment. In addition to all traditional Sales Manager duties, the Senior Sales Manager serves as a strategic thought leader, contributing to organizational improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and broader company initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Manage loan originator performance, motivation, scheduling, training, and policy adherence. Conduct advanced coaching sessions, call reviews, and skill development workshops.
- Pipeline Management & Production: Review team and personal pipelines daily/weekly to ensure production targets are met. Maintain personal loan production as assigned.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all loan presentations, terms, and rates align with Newrez and regulatory guidelines. Maintain full adherence to Newrez Code of Conduct.
- Customer Experience Management: Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally. Coach loan originators on communication standards and expectation-setting.
- Recruitment & Talent Development: Recruit, interview, and select high-quality mortgage loan originators. Mentor developing talent and support succession planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations to ensure production flow, quality, and efficiency. Work with Regional leadership to support team and center-wide objectives.
Qualifications
- 6-8 years Loan Consultant experience
- Minimum 5 years in the mortgage industry
- Minimum 6 months in a Newrez management or senior leadership role
- Proven success mentoring, coaching, and elevating Mortgage Consultants
- Experience in call-center or high-volume phone/internet sales environments

Work Environment
Working on-site at assigned office location. Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership. Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand.
Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations. Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.
