Amazon Advertising is seeking a Sales Compensation Analyst to drive analytics for the Ads incentive compensation program. The team’s mission is to enable the growth of Amazon Ads through effective sales compensation design, governance, and operations.

About the role

The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong analytical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills, data analysis expertise, and a passion for process improvements. They will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambiguity, leveraging AI tools to deliver data-driven insights that optimize sales planning, performance targets, and sales compensation. Deep experience with variable compensation plans and associated analytics is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of foundational data and key business drivers for Amazon Ads variable compensation.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive reporting and analytical roadmap to support key decisions.
  • Build Gen AI capabilities to deliver insights into existing data, tools, and workstreams.
  • Automate repeated processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
  • Manage compensation cost controllership, including in-plan and above-plan incentives (e.g., Quotas, SPIF, MBO).
  • Support financial budgeting and forecasting processes across the total portfolio.
  • Communicate findings effectively to business leaders, finance, and technical teams to influence decision-making and product enhancements.
  • Provide scalable quarterly insights and seller-level trends to deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance to align compensation impact with financial plans and analyze correlations between SIC payouts and overall financial performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, business management, or sales operations.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company.
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, or Salesforce automation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.

Pay

  • USA, CA, Culver City: $88,100 – $154,100 USD annually
  • USA, NY, New York: $96,900 – $169,500 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Seattle: $88,100 – $154,100 USD annually
