About The Role
In this role, you will design, modify, and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. You will serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. As an RF Design Engineer, your involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle, from product release through maintenance of the product and end-of-life decisions. You will promote investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities and ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop new products, support existing products, and improve processes, specifically related to RF and communication design.
- Lead RF circuit design from concept to production for low-cost wireless communications product-line – complete radio transceiver design and layout including RF PA, LNA, RF filters and matching, synthesizers, VCO's, and mixers.
- Conduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.
- Verify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement. Compare results to theory and document results. Carry out field studies and system test activities.
- Provide design and project support in the areas of project leadership, regulation, reliability, and components selections. Provide technical support to factory, service, and other internal departments.
- Coordinate and verify the work of support staff (technicians and CAD Designers).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 5 years of related industrial experience.
- In-depth understanding of electronic circuits, RF circuits, and Microwave theory.
- Good understanding of RF systems and wireless communication systems.
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related field.
- RF certification experience.
- Expertise in communication theory and digital signal processing.
- Experience with advanced modeling and simulation.
Pay
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $68,911–$161,544 per year. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The actual compensation offered may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity.
