About the role
In this role, you will design, modify, and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. You will serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. Your involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle, from product release through maintenance and end-of-life decisions. You will promote investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities and ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop new products, support existing products, and improve processes related to RF and communication design.
- Lead RF circuit design from concept to production for a low-cost wireless communications product line, including complete radio transceiver design and layout (RF PA, LNA, RF filters and matching, synthesizers, VCOs, and mixers).
- Conduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and other tools.
- Verify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement, and compare results to theory.
- Carry out field studies and system test activities.
- Provide design and project support in project leadership, regulation, reliability, and component selection.
- Offer technical support to factory, service, and other internal departments.
- Coordinate and verify the work of support staff (technicians and CAD designers).
- May lead projects of limited scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, or equivalent (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of related industrial experience.
- In-depth understanding of electronic circuits, RF circuits, and microwave theory.
- Good understanding of RF systems and wireless communication systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a related field (highly preferred).
- RF Certification experience.
- Experience with communication theory and digital signal processing.
- Experience with advanced modeling and simulation.
Travel
1–10% travel required.
