Sr. Revenue Cycle Analyst - Albany, NY

Responsibilities

• Supports directly assigned sites with daily revenue cycle priorities
• Collaborates with assigned site location(s) front office and billing colleagues to improve revenue cycle performance
• Reviews weekly metrics, assesses root cause analysis, and develops/implements action plans
• Provides feedback on eligibility, registration denials to Directors, Practice Managers and Supervisors
• Develops and conducts educational sessions for colleagues or providers
• Communicates with manager to ensure all assigned sites and colleagues are supported
• Participates and leads Revenue targeted projects addressing opportunities and barriers
• Attends additional training, performs research, e-learning to stay current on best practices
• Communicates and educates site staff regarding upgrades or workflow changes
• Reviews and updates billing playbook quarterly
• Maintains knowledge of practice management system, office responsibilities and billing process
• Researches and stays current on managed care/insurance updates
• Maintains administration access to sites and assigns access as needed
• Assists with special projects as needed

Requirements

• Associates degree required
• Medical office experience required
• Excellent communication and presentation skills required
• Report analytics skills and medical coding experience preferred
• Coding certificate or other healthcare certification preferred
• Experience/knowledge of electronic practice management systems preferred
• Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet, and computer navigation
• Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time

Pay

Pay Range: $21.20 - $29.70 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
