About the role
The Senior Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Systems Analyst plays a strategic role in optimizing healthcare revenue cycle operations through advanced data analysis, system configuration, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimization of SQL queries and data pipelines across multiple data sources including Databricks and SQL Server
- Design and maintain advanced PowerBI dashboards for executive-level reporting and strategic decision-making
- Perform complex data analysis using Excel and BI tools to identify trends, revenue leakage, and operational inefficiencies
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot RCM systems, including setting up profiles, tables, and procedure manuals
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal billing regulations, including CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding standards
- Identify and resolve system errors and root cause issues within the revenue cycle
- Collaborate with leadership, billing staff, and other departments to align documentation with billing requirements
- Recommend and implement changes to optimize RCM workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure timely reimbursements
- Manage relationships with RCM system vendors and oversee system upgrades and implementations
- Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue cycle processes, reduce denials, and enhance collections
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team goals through knowledge sharing and leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare, Management, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field required
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, or RCM systems required
- Expertise in SQL, PowerBI, Excel, and healthcare financial systems required
- Experience with system administrator functions for configuration and maintenance of billing systems required
- Strong communication and leadership skills required
