Description

The Amazon MGM Studios Consumer Insights team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Researcher to lead customer-focused primary research projects. You’ll work on a team that connects our creative leaders with our customers throughout their viewing journey. You will work closely with Marketing, Development and Programming teams, always making sure to represent the voice of our customers. This role will allow you to develop insights that help our original streaming movies connect with customers.

  • Identify appropriate methodologies based on business and research objectives
  • Partner with internal Panel Operations team, to program and deploy research projects with Amazon Prime Video customers
  • Work closely with vendors to insure successful execution of research projects (domestic and global)
  • Lead strategic research using primary, secondary and syndicated data sources
  • Accurately represent, and advocate for, the Prime Video customer in all analysis and meetings
  • Take ownership of research studies end to end

Key job responsibilities

A day in the life: You'll be part of a team that directly shapes content decisions for Amazon Prime Video. Your research will help evaluate projects from initial pitch through development, production, and distribution across our global platforms. You will work closely with filmmakers to ensure content resonates with our audiences.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience communicating research findings and analysis in both written and spoken channels
  • Experience setting research objectives, writing surveys, and creating sound sampling and weighting schemes, and analyzing results
  • Experience with all aspects of quant research (study design, recruiting, analysis, reporting)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams
  • Ability to translate complex data sets into clear and compelling written narratives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience on the research vendor side or within the research group of a media company
  • Experience leading different types of viewer studies such as movie screenings, trailer testing, awareness tracking, and post-launch studies
  • Knowledge of the streaming entertainment landscape and business
