Alexandria, VA-based Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional technology programs that power our production and post-production workflows. The ideal candidate will drive the strategy, planning, and execution of technology initiatives that enable content creators to produce world-class film and television at scale.

About the role

You will drive the strategy, planning, and execution of technology initiatives that enable content creators to produce world-class film and television at scale. As a Senior TPM on the Production/Post-Production Technology team, you will be the connective tissue between engineering, creative technology, production operations, and studio leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive multi-year technology roadmaps for production and post-production systems, aligning engineering investments with studio business priorities and creative needs.
  • Partner with software development teams, production technology operations, creative stakeholders, vendor partners, and senior leadership to deliver integrated solutions on time and within scope.
  • Develop a deep understanding of media supply chain technologies, cloud-based production workflows, asset management systems, and industry standards (e.g., ACES, IMF, SMPTE) to inform program decisions and trade-offs.
  • Proactively identify risks, resolve blockers, and manage complex interdependencies across distributed teams and third-party integrations.
  • Establish program governance, reporting mechanisms, and success metrics that provide transparency to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion cloud-native, scalable solutions that reduce friction for content creators while maintaining the highest quality standards for theatrical and streaming delivery.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
