Sr. Reliability Engineer

The Opportunity

The Smurfit Westrock Solvart Mill has an opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to enhance and maintain the reliability of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reliability programs from conception to implementation
• Offer support during daily and annual maintenance shutdowns
• Deliver technical direction and support to maintenance and operating teams
• Implement equipment tracking and rebuild strategies using predictive and preventative maintenance
• Champion safety and environmental standards to enhance reliability of electrical equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably mechanical, electrical, industrial or paper science engineering)
• 3 years of reliability experience in a manufacturing environment
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional cooperation
• Project management skills to execute projects with clear timelines and defined agendas
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent understanding of root cause failure analysis and continuous improvement
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures
• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools
• Experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry or similar industry preferred
