Sr Reinsurance Administrator - LHB

About the role

The Sr. Reinsurance Administrator at Luminare Health is responsible for accurately and timely filing of excess risk claims, assisting on initiatives, training new reinsurance analysts, reviewing and handling complex stop-loss claim situations, and providing standard and ad hoc reporting to carriers.

Responsibilities

• Works on and assists with initiatives related to improved reporting and testing
• Takes on other responsibilities as assigned
• Trains new reinsurance analysts
• Investigates carrier reimbursement denials and prepares/receives rebuttals or explanations to clients
• Communicates with client management, claims, finance, and other impacted departments as needed
• Reviews more complex stop-loss claims and responds to more complex questions or concerns from carriers
• Works on projects and initiatives in the development of products that impact the reinsurance claim team
• Provides standard reporting and some ad hoc reporting to carriers for all Trustmark offices
• Handles more complex stop-loss claim situations and takes on other responsibilities as needed
• Researches carrier plans and claim questions
