Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate regulatory compliance activities for new and existing utility products, including testing, documentation, and certification.
- Ensure products meet all applicable regulatory requirements and standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing) to launch new products and improve existing ones.
- Provide technical support for component obsolescence, product compliance, and field quality issues.
- Coordinate with customers and government agencies on regulatory and technical matters to maintain trust and transparency.
- Develop and maintain regulatory documentation, including test plans, reports, and certification files.
- Engage with standards development bodies (e.g., ANSI) on development of metering standards.
- Capture and maintain regulatory documentation and requirements with government agencies and public utility commissions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in hardware product development within utilities, AMI, smart grid, or IoT industries.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience coordinating regulatory compliance activities.
- Experience influencing industry standards development.
