Responsibilities
- Supporting complex enterprise wide system(s) and departmental project objectives.
- Creating and controlling project plans, goals, deadlines, testing, implementation, changes, upgrades and post live support of assigned systems.
- Working with affected departments to ensure assigned systems reflect the regulatory environment and procedures are built to regulatory specifications.
- Designing, testing, validating and ongoing support of the regulatory build in Epic.
- Obtaining the appropriate Epic certification and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the software functionality.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of the CMS provider regulatory programs (specifically MACRA for eligible clinicians and Promoting Interoperability for eligible hospitals) and its associated measure specifications.
- Training, database/configuration maintenance, standard naming compliance, security maintenance and general support of complex systems.
- Mentoring less experienced regulatory application specialists.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in Computer Science, IS Applications, MIS, or a closely related field.
- Required or In Lieu of degree: Six (6) years of experience in computer information systems, information technology, MIS, or a related field.
- Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of progressive work experience as an applications analyst or regulatory specialist, to include (2) years of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) application experience, supporting complex enterprise-wide system(s) and departmental project objectives.
- Required or In lieu of degree: Nine (9) years of progressive work experience as an applications analyst or regulatory specialist, to include (2) years of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) application experience, supporting complex enterprise-wide system(s) and departmental project objectives.
- Required: Two (2) years working directly with Epic applications and/or Regulatory experience.
