Summary/Objectives
The Senior Regional Wealth Advisor role requires all of the duties of a wealth advisor. This position is earned by demonstrating successful performance in the wealth advisor role, by successful management of a large and complex book of business, and/or by demonstrating success in the independent acquisition and growth of new client relationships (i.e., not relying on others to assign relationships to the incumbent).
Essential Functions
- Performs administrative functions in coordination with the Wealth Associate that include: account openings, account additions, financial transactions, questions and complaints, asset/cash monitoring, account closing, fee processing, compliance oversight of accounts, and regulatory reporting.
- Prepares account information with assistance of the Wealth Associate for the Management Oversight (MOC) Committee.
- Obtains and maintains current financial information and other critical information necessary to successfully manage relationships.
- Understands the financial, retirement, and estate planning goals of clients. Works with the Portfolio Manager to establish and/or review investment objectives with clients.
- Identifies problems and resolves them effectively and in a timely manner. Ensures problem resolution follow-up is performed, especially with the client, if necessary.
- Initiates client contact to provide proactive, value-added client service. Provides expert advice/solutions for financial issues and inquiries.
- Works with the Private Wealth team on the sale of new business and additions to existing relationships. Strives to achieve standard pricing for new and existing relationships. Conducts sales presentations and client meetings as appropriate.
Qualifications, Education, And Certification Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience. Preferred MBA, JD, CTFA, CFP or CPA.
- Experience: Minimum of ten years wealth management experience.
- Knowledge: PC proficiency, demonstrated strong communication skills, both oral and written, strong math aptitude. Thorough knowledge of the interpretation and practical application of investments and financial and estate planning.
Training Requirements/Classes
- Participates in Wealth Management Continuing Education training courses/seminars.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill with PC Navigator, Salesforce, FiTek, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- New Employee Orientation, continuing education classes on investments, insurance, and other financial services.
- Continuing training to maintain professional designations.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.
Work Environment
- This position is in a private office. Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred.
Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered.
Travel
- Travel may be required to attend internal or external meetings as needed.
