Sr Regional Financial Analyst
Position Summary
The Senior Regional Financial Analyst supports financial planning and analysis for a designated business unit or market within the pediatric health system. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making and drive operational performance. The analyst works closely with operational teams to ensure financial objectives are aligned with broader organizational goals and contributes to the development of data-driven strategies through collaboration and analysis.
Position Duties
Conducts financial analysis and reporting for assigned business units or market areas.
Prepares monthly variance reports and presents findings to business unit or market leadership.
Maintains financial models and gathers inputs to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
Monitors financial performance and identifies trends, risks, and opportunities.
Collaborates with business unit or market leaders to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations of financial plans, trends, and operating forecasts.
Provides committed and excellent customer service, including accuracy, completeness, and responsiveness to internal and external customer needs.
Becomes a strategic partner by understanding operations, financial drivers, and business plans.
Builds strong relationships with team members, internal, and external customers.
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
Position Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA and/or graduate degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting and/or Healthcare Services preferred.
Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in financial planning and analysis activities. Experience in a hospital/physician organization providing tertiary and quaternary services required.
Special Skills: Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including Excel, Strata, and ERP platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams required. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment required. Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models and regulatory requirements preferred.
