Sr Radiologic Technologist - Wknd

Responsibilities

• Images correct patient by checking ID using AIDET.
• Reviews the patient’s information to make sure they are having the correct study completed.
• Calls the ER Doctor or Radiologist when needed for verification.
• Communicates any misadministration with the department Manager or Director.
• Reviews patient information on patients referral or in patients chart to confirm procedure requested.
• Reviews request for pertinent clinical information and correlates examination with previous examinations.
• Verifies diagnosis is medically necessary compared to exam ordered.
• Corrects inappropriate clinical information.
• Operates all Radiology equipment according to protocol or manufacturers recommendations to achieve the best possible images.
• Operates associated equipment such as but not limited to CR, DR, PACS printers and fax machines.
• Takes corrective measures to report and communicate equipment operating problems by following set processes.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience.
• High School / GED Education.
• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited school of Radiologic Technology required.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist certification required.
