Key Responsibilities
- Lead rack-level integration activities for AI and data center hardware platforms from early development through validation and reference design release.
- Develop and validate rack-level reference designs, including rack layouts, mechanical fit, cable routing, serviceability, airflow, thermal considerations, power distribution, and deployment requirements.
- Plan and execute initial rack builds to ensure configurations meet engineering requirements and deployment readiness expectations.
- Support prototype builds, system bring-up, validation testing, design verification, and build readiness activities.
- Work with mechanical, thermal, platform, validation, manufacturing, program management, ODM, and partner teams to resolve integration issues.
- Provide technical direction to technicians supporting rack assembly, cable integration, labeling, configuration updates, and validation.
- Create and maintain rack-level BOMs, rack elevations, cable matrices, assembly instructions, configuration documents, and integration procedures.
- Troubleshoot rack-level issues related to mechanical fit, cable routing, airflow, thermal constraints, power distribution, networking, serviceability, and manufacturing readiness.
- Review rack-level engineering changes, configuration updates, build instructions, and integration documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, integration reviews, validation reviews, and build readiness reviews.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in rack integration, system integration, NPI engineering, server platform integration, AI/HPC systems, data center hardware development, or hardware product development.
- Strong understanding of rack-level architectures, mechanical integration, cable management, serviceability, airflow, thermal considerations, power distribution, cooling infrastructure, and data center environments.
- Experience with prototype rack builds, system bring-up, validation, deployment readiness, BOM management, configuration control, and engineering change processes.
- Hands-on experience with rack layouts, rack elevations, cable routing, rack assembly, hardware configuration management, and technical documentation.
- Ability to lead technical activities, coordinate hands-on build work, resolve cross-functional issues, and communicate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, ODM, and partner teams.
