Rack Integration Engineer

About the role

IDR is seeking a Rack Integration Engineer to support one of our top clients in Saline, MI; Memphis, TN; or Houston, TX. You'll lead daily service center operations with a focus on rack production activity and ensuring accurate, efficient equipment flow across receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping—while maintaining strong inventory integrity and driving process improvements.

Position Overview

• Lead daily rack production and integration activities on the production floor
• Serve as the hands-on technical lead for rack/RAP builds, including build, integration, troubleshooting, and workflow coordination
• Lead and support technicians/builders to remove blockers, troubleshoot issues, and maintain productivity
• Ensure racks are built accurately and meet quality standards and project requirements
• Maintain accurate equipment flow across receiving, staging, picking, and shipping while protecting inventory integrity
• Use inventory systems/WMS to maintain disciplined transactions, audit readiness, and discrepancy resolution
• Identify and implement process improvements related to standard work, layout, quality checkpoints, and throughput

Requirements

• Recent, hands-on rack build/rack integration experience, including RAP build experience
• Strong technical/engineering background supporting hardware builds, integration, and troubleshooting; this is not a warehouse/logistics-only role
• Proven experience leading or supporting teams in a fast-paced, highly visible production environment
• Working knowledge of inventory controls, audit practices, and operational execution
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or inventory management system; HCAP is a plus
